Mobile search is getting bigger. Exponentially bigger. Most business owners know they need to have a mobile-friendly site, but many put it off (including me) because it’s seems as bit of a “nice to have” rather than “essential”.

In a nutshell, they are giving us a deadline for an algorithm update that is going to have significant effects on website rankings. If you ain’t mobile friendly, you’re going down. This is what they’re saying:
“Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.”
