I was surprised recently to realise that I have been directing and producing websites for 17 years now (ouch!). The key thing for me has always been about how the website performs, not how it looks. Does it generate leads? Does it make sales? Does it make the phone ring? Sure, design is important, but it needs to have a purpose and not just pander to the ego of the business that owns the website, which is what I think 99% of website design does, hence….
